Jim Creek.

So we took Thomas out to Jim Creek for the first time Saturday. It was Jim Creek clean up so we piled into the truck with Lady and Bruno and headed out. Thomas was asleep most of the time. We meet up with our friends Daren and Ashley and had a fun afternoon.

Todd and Andrew spent the day at the Boy Scout garage sale making money for Andrews bike trip this summer (witch Ben really wants to go on!). Most of the kids got something new not the least of witch is Katie's new bike. It is a pink 2 wheeler and you should see her go! It has been hard to get her to do anything else but ride that bike. She just loves it.

Sunday we went to church with mom and talked to the BIshop about were we should have our records transfered. We are trying to get everything in order to got to the Temple this summer and and are just not sure what do do with all the moving around we have been doing so Bishop has decided to talk to the Stake President to see what he thinks. BUt we will be going to the Temple this summer and hope that everyone can make it! We are both so excited.

5 weeks old!

Well Thomas is now 5 weeks old! I can't believe how time flies. He is already 11 lbs and just keeps growing! I think we finally have a good hold on breast feeding, and daddy can now change a dipper in under 3 min!  We could have used Auntie Amy last night because we just can't seem to get him back on his schedule! I think it might have something to do with the new cousins in his life. Now instead of just 3 boys loving on him he has 8 kids. All the smith kids love holding and being around Thomas and all the craziness is new for him. I have been waring him in a sling and it seems to cut down on the over stimulation, but I know he misses Jacob, Josh, Sam, and Auntie Amy! We hope to see them again soon! Ben went back to work with Todd today. We are excited about the money, but Ben is not as thrilled about the hour and working in construction again. I guess after not having to do it for so long he just really has discovered that this isn't what he want s to do with his life and that going back to school was the right decision. He really loved his EMT class and can't wait to get his RN.

Life just keeps going!

So life just seems to be getting more crazy by the day! Last Friday after Ben got out of school we loaded up Amy and Jake's truck with 3 dogs, 3 Earle boys, Ben, me and baby Thomas and headed off to Palmer. It was a long drive but went fairly smoothly considering. When we got to town we went to Becky's dropping off 2 dogs and the 3 Earle boys and then went to Grandma Sandy's house to show off Thomas and drop off one more dog! Then back to Becky's to pick up 1 Earle boy, and over to Grandma Oborn's house to sleep. On Saturday we went to cousin Lily's baptism (witch was great!)
Sunday we blessed Thomas! It was amazing to me to see Ben on the stand with our baby in his arms and our wonderful brother-in-laws and father surrounding them. I am so grateful for the church in our lives and for the priesthood in our home! I am so glad that Ben took the discussions and joined the church, and that now we will be going to the Temple soon to become a forever family. As I sat next to my mother-in-law at both the baptism and the blessing and felt the spirit so strong I just hope that one day Ben's family will know the joy that we all know from having the gospel in our lives and knowing that we are a forever family! Ben did such a good job and we would like to thank all of you that were able to come and participate.
Then we went to Becky's for lunch! Then home on monday after a all night party with baby Thomas! Tuesday Amy thru me a baby shower that was a lot of fun while Ben went off to the first of his finals. We have been trying to get stuff sold and packed up considering we are supposed to be moved back down to the valley next week! I really need to get a move on with the packing but Thomas has other ideas, like eating every hour! He must be going thru a growth spurt!
We are really going t miss the Earle family when we leave! Thomas loves his cousins and the attention he gets from them, and Ben and I know that Auntie Amy is always around to help when we can't handle anymore crying. It has been a great blessing to live here and are very grateful for their generosity.
