Grandma Sandy

Thomas and Grandma Sandy have been getting along famously. When Thomas was sick grandma would hold him like this and he would finally fall asleep. Isn't it wonderful when grandma is around to help when the baby is screaming. We have spent the last few days at home watching all day marathons and playing games. It has been a wonderful few days doing nothing. We hope that all of you are having a great few days off!

Sick!

Well we are currently under quarinty here in our house! Poor Thomas has been sick for 2 weeks! We took him to the doctor last Sunday and the doctors said he was fine and just had a cold. So when he got sicker and started throwing up yesterday we took him back. He has raging ear infections in both ears and a stomach bug. So now I am sick and Ben is coming down with it.
But can someone please explain why men believe that the worse a medicine taste the better it is?
I mean really I know that I could take the gel caps and be just as good, but my husband insists on buying the crap that tastes like warm urine! YUCK! I hate being sick!

Christmas Eve in Utah.

All the grandkids got new pjs from Grandma Oborn. Thomas is now in a 18 month good thing grandma buy's them big so they fit perfect.

Elizabeth and I got Thomas and Milo matching outfits for Christmas Eve. Thomas loves Milo and if you look close Thomas is holding his hand. Too cute.

Thomas got a stacker from Tyler. He loves it.

Ben and his mom (with a little help from Katrina) made this gingerbread house from scratch. It turn out so cool that we took it with us to Christmas Eve so that the kids could eat it. But by the end of the night it was Elizabeth, Ben, Mandy and Thomas were the ones that had eaten it. We had a low key night with the Adults out numbering the kids witch is wired but fun. It was Amanda's family of 5, Ben and I plus Thomas an his mom, and Elizabeth's family and Allen's parents and brother. Everyone left around 8:30pm but Ben and I stayed and watched Christmas Vacation with the Bush's. We hope everyone eles had a grat Christmas Eve!

Home.

We had a good day. We didn't end up in Az, but we did go to Zion National Park. It was a little cold but was really pretty.

We went and saw Jaunita's grave. (did I spell it right Amy?) I was glad to be able to stop by, and get a pic of Thomas there.

There was lots of deer.

We also were able to stop and see the Dino tracks in St. George. We are now home and I am trying to get back into the Christmas spirit. I really should get up and get all the stuff put away but I think I will wait until tomorrow. Well I am glad to be back.

Then we drove over to Spanish Fork and drove throw the Festival of Lights. It was really cool and Ben and Sandy got a kick out of it. We hope to do a lot of fun things well she is down here. If any of you have some idea's about cool and fun things to do here in Utah I would love to hear them!

Santa!

So Elizabeth, Ben, Thomas, Milo, and I went to see Santa today. Thomas has always really liked men with beards so I thought he would do well with Santa. Well not so! He was fine until I put him on Santa's lap and then he cried, and cried. Poor Thomas. But we did get a good pic of him and Milo with Santa, once we put Milo with Thomas he calmed down for a minute. It was so cute.

On another note Thomas has started to crawl! It is the funniest thing. He started last night and is really fast. No more things being left on the ground. Oh that reminds me I have to get cabinet locks.

Newest and oldest!

Christopher came over the day after Thanksgiving and we got this picture of Christopher and Milo. Can you believe the age gap 18 years! And there are 30 grandkids in total for mom and day. I can't believe it.

What the heck!

So my life is crazy right now. We are trying to get ready for Ben's mom to come (she comes next week and we are really excited) bit it seems like things just keep going wrong. Monday I lost my wallet! Well actually I think it was stolen at Wal-mart. Then Tuesday morning Ben walked into our walk in closet and it is full of water! So we called the landlord and they sent the repairman over and he said he fixed and well he was here he fixed the shower and range that we had all ready called about. He left us with the giant and load floor fan blowing and said he would be back in a few days to put in new pad and it should be fine. Well we woke up this morning and the water had reached the bedroom so we pulled all our stuff into the front room and Ben left for school when he go home we called the repairman he came back and has now said now it should be fixed. Well I hope so. On a happier note Ben got his final for his 7 habits class and it is an A! I am so proud of him!

Christmas is coming.

I love Christmas! Ben thinks I am going a bit overboard, but I just tell him I can't wait until we have a big house that I can decorate like my mom always did our house. I love how my mom always had her house perfect for the holidays. The Christmas decorations went up the day after Thanksgiving (now that I have my own stuff it goes up right after Halloween!) It was always such a wonderful time of year. I know now that we didn't have a lot of money growing up but Christmas was always wonderful. Santa always made it to our house. And I hope that I can give my children that same feeling at Christmas. Thank you mom for making Christmas such a wonderful and magical time for me!

Thanksgiving!

Yummy!
Happy Family!
What a cute Christmas outfit.

We had a fun Thanksgiving. We got up at 9am and watched the Macy's Parade. Thomas loved the singing and dancing and colors. He laughed and almost sat good through the hole thing. Then we finished up the food and headed over to Mandy's with a quick stop at Walmart. We had dinner and hung out played a few games and called it a night around 9pm. Then Ben and I went and looked at the Christmas lights, and headed home. We went to bed around midnight and then Elizabeth came over at 3:45 am and we meet up with Mandy at Kohls, then over to Walmart, Toys R Us and then, to the mall. It was a fun time.

Sleep through the night!!!

So Thomas was finally sleeping through the night. (For about 2 weeks now) But for the last 2 nights he has been up all dang night. I find myself rocking him at night praying that he will just let me lay him down and then when I do lay him down he starts screaming. So I bring him into bed with us but he won't sleep with us he plays and squirms and crys. So I end up in the front room watching infomercials holding my 22 lbs son on my chest and rocking. Heaven forbid I stop rocking him because then he just starts to cry again. Shouldn't he be sleeping through the night! He is almost 8 months old for goodness sakes! Well he just feel asleep for a nap so I am going to lay down to try to catch a few winks.

Balancing School and Money.

So school is well....... going. Ben's finals have already started and he has been a little stressed about them but I know he will do great the only concern we are having is the fact that money is currently nonexistent and he can only work so many hours with school and all and school is really expensive here and loans only go so far. It doesn't look like we are going to get into BYU this semester. Bummer but we will try again for summer. We know we are where we are suppose to be. I am just a little stressed about money and now here comes Thomas' first Christmas and I just want him to have a good one. I know he won't remember but I will. I just keep think when school is finally done it will get better. So that is my current stress. Thanks for listening.

So much fun.

Elizabeth came over and we got some really cute pictures of Milo. We had a fun morning taking pictures and just hanging out. Milo is getting so big.
We got this really cute picture of "sleeping" picture of him. He wasn't really sleeping got to love the camera that captures quick enough to catch a blink.
Thomas is almost to old for naked shots so I figured I would get a few in before that day came. Thomas loves the camera and poses for it as soon as he sees it. I love his grin and giggle he is such a happy boy. (usually)
Thomas has his dad's big blue eyes. And his mommy's dimples.
One more pictures of that big cute smile! I am so lucky to have this sweet boy in my life. He blesses my life everyday. I love being a mom and can't wait for our little family to grow. if all our babies are like Thomas our family will be truly blessed!

What a weekend.

So I have a wonderful husband tat loves me so much that he helped me put the Christmas Tree up even though it is only the first of Nov. Thomas loves looking at it and we have it up on a small table so that he can't get it.
We went to St. George for Milo's blessing. It was fun. Thomas got his first sippy cup and loves it.
Thomas and his cousin Tyler love playing.
The Stout family after the blessing. You should see this new grandpa with his grandson. He can't get enough of him. It was cool to see how much this family loves this new little baby.

A new bath.

Okay so not so much going on here. We got a new bath for Thomas form my favorite store IKEA! He loves it and gets water all over. Maybe he will be a swimmer like his cousin Jacob. We are waiting for him to start crawling. He gets up on his hands and trys to get up on to his knees then lays back down on his belly. It is so dang cute! We are ready for Halloween. Thomas is going to go as Tigger, and Ben is going to be Christopher Robin. It is going to be so cute. Well we will post more pics latter.

What road is the the USA on?

I can't believe what is being said on the debate! I am having a really hard time watching Obama laugh and smile like McCain is a some old man that is losing his mind! Here is one of the many problems of the world, Obama wants to raise taxes on all small businesses! The USA needs small businesses. This is one of the reasons that we are losing jobs. And could he please answer a question straight! McCain answers the question and Obama doesn't! I am having a hard time watching it!

One sick family.

Well the Love family is sick. I hate being sick! I really am the one that gets the "man cold" in our family and I have the best husband that doesn't have issue with "patting my forhead and saying poor little bunny" (see "man cold" on you tube). I am so glad that I have such a wonderful husband that takes such good care of his family when they need him.

Mission Statement.

What's the trouble with trouble? It starts out like fun.
Love life and live life to the fullest.
Were here as a test, make the best of it.
Be a great husband and father.
Create a peaceful home for loved ones to gather.
Help those in need and take time to share skills.
Become self-reliant and debt free.
Defend the freedoms we hold dear.
Raise thinkers instead of followers.
Shape  beautiful communities with education.
Love thy neighbor.
Be grateful for what is given.
Be generous in acts of service.
Follow the spirits signals to the farthest reaches.
Be the change I want to see in the world today.

My husband wrote this as his mission statement for school and I love it! So this is the Love family mission statement.
