Christmas Eve.

We had a great Christmas! We had so much fun with all the cousins at Auntie Mandy's and Uncle Brady's on Christmas Eve. We had dinner, the nativity, totadoos, PJs, and grandpa read the Night Before Christmas.
Jammies from Grandma!
The Nativity.
Thomas was so cute as a shepherd.
Lily as Mary, Tyler as Joseph, and Adelaide as Jesus.
And Miles as the cutest little wise man!

Getting to know you.

With a new baby in the house we are all making some adjustments. We are trying to get Thomas to be gentle by giving him his own baby to love. It is funny every morning he comes into our room and is surprised to see the "baby", but he is finally starting to warm up to her.
Oh and Thomas got a hair cut! Thanks Grandma!
She eats and sleeps so well.

Our little girl!

Well she is finally here! After 20 hours of labor and only 3 pushes our sweet little Adelaide came into the world. She already has her daddy wrapped around her fingers and has mommy's dimples. She weights 8 lbs 8 oz and is 20 1/2 inches long. And for your viewing pleasure a few pics of our darling girl.

My son.

This is my son.

I love him more then anything. But lately this little one has been a BIG handful. I keep hoping that he doesn't feel well or he is teething again. But in reality I think it might have to do more with getting a little sister. I know he doesn't understand what is going on but I think he "knows" something is happening. We have been getting ready for weeks now but as mommy gets more uncomfortable the more irritable she gets and poor Thomas just doesn't get it. He has been up most nights crying for dad he doesn't want anything to do with me. I just hope that once the baby comes things will settle and he will love me again. Ben took this picture this afternoon. We were trying to get out the door and when Ben called Thomas to come get his shoes on he didn't more, well then we saw why, in all our craziness he had fallen asleep on the bouncer. My poor little love!

37 WEEKS!

Well I am officially 37 weeks! I don't care what anyone says (and I don't want to hear it!) I could go ANY day now! Thomas was born at exactly 37 weeks and I think that that has made me a little but more ready this time around. I have been have contractions like crazy at night they get so bad they wake me up but then seem to peter off in the mornings. But one way or another this baby is coming and hopefully sooner rather then latter!

Wow.

I can't believe how long it has been! Things have been crazy here at the Love home. Ben is doing great at school, Thomas is talking more and more everyday, and my belly just keeps getting bigger. The baby is "due" in 4 weeks although no one including my MW thinks I will go that far. I am trying to be patient but with how uncomfortable I am and how sick I feel I just want her to be here already! This last month flew by and we had a great time with Thomas doing new things. We went to the Zoo and to Cornbelly's, it has a corn maze, and all kinds of fun stuff. Ben, Uncle Ray, Kyle and Kaden went threw the haunted corn maze and had a lot of fun. Then it was time for Halloween! Thomas got the hang of trick or treating right away and had so much fun he did not want to come in. I will post more soon but in the mean time here are a few pics of this months activities!

Thomas loves to play superman. He flies around the room ad makes zooming noises. It is so cute!

He's in my bed!

So Thomas has decided that he likes my bed better then his. He has always liked his own bed even when we first brought him home he hated sleeping with us but for the last few days I can't get him out of my bed. I am not sure what to do. At 2 am he cried until 3:45 at witch point I gave up and let him come in our bed. I thought it would give us more sleep but I am not sure that I slept more with this little monkey flipping all around our bed. I have to get him out before the new baby gets here!

Thomas and Grandpa.

Thomas and Grandpa became fast friends! We miss you grandpa!
Grandma got Thomas this to cute Alaska Grown T-shirt! It is so cute on him.
He is getting so big! I can't believe how fast it is happening. Soon he will be a big brother and I will have two handfuls to deal with. We can't wait to see grandma and grandpa again this winter!

To those of your born 1930-1979....

My dad sent this to me in an e-mail and I just wanted to pass it along
To Those of You Born 1930 - 1979

At the end of this email is a quote of the month by Jay Leno. If you don't read anything else, please
read what he said.

Very well stated, Mr. Leno.

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE

1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-base paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps not helmets on our heads.

As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes.

Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, and real butter . We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And, we weren't overweight. WHY?

Because we were always outside playing...that's why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And, we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride them down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Play stations, Nintendo's and X-boxes. There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet and no chat rooms.
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and=2 0tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes..

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.

Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever.

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.
If YOU are one of them? CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good.

While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave and lucky their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it ?

~

The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of swine flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

Happy "Birthday" Grandma.

This weekend we went down to visit Grandma and to celebrate her 85th birthday. It isn't really until October but we decided to celebrate early so that she was with us.

It was fun to see some of the cousins. Now granted this is only a fraction of us but it was short notice.

Dad and all his siblings.
It was fun to visit with all the aunts and uncles.

A New Haircut!

Well Thomas was in need of a haircut so I got my stuff together but Ben wanted to give it to him so dad gave Thomas his second haircut.
Thomas was very well behaved and sat as still as a 16 month old can sit. The cookie helped!
With Kimber's help Ben got almost all the stray hairs.
My cute boy! He looks so big with his new big boy haircut!

Bath Time!

Thomas love the bath! And I love when he comes out smelling like a sweet baby.

I Wish he was always this happy!

Maybe we just need to keep him in the bath more!?

Ben Birthday.

So for Ben's birthday we went camping (the weekend before) and had a lot of fun. Thomas was a total mess but thought it was great.

Boy; a noises with dirt on it.
Like father like son!
Thomas loved the dirt.
Thomas with his two loves, bumpkin, and his bink.
Then on Ben's actual birthday we had dinner with the Stouts and a Trans Formers cake!
