He's in my bed!

So Thomas has decided that he likes my bed better then his. He has always liked his own bed even when we first brought him home he hated sleeping with us but for the last few days I can't get him out of my bed. I am not sure what to do. At 2 am he cried until 3:45 at witch point I gave up and let him come in our bed. I thought it would give us more sleep but I am not sure that I slept more with this little monkey flipping all around our bed. I have to get him out before the new baby gets here!

I know the whole battle WAY too well:) With my first four kids...they ALL slept in my bed as babies (then I'd move them). With my youngest-I let him scream in his own bed...and never have let him leave his room unless he's going potty! I've learned that my sleep is more important than the child's temper tantrums. I may have to let them cry it out for a week-but they catch on.

Good luck with that Meg! I'm learning that I've totally forgotten all about parenting. I have no advice for you. Sorry.

Get a bigger bed. He won't be sleeping with you when he's sixteen.

I still remember when we had a queen bed with the crib (- one side) at the foot of it, a toddler bed on one side and a cradle on the other. These are the times memories are made of. You'll sleep when you're dead! LOL

Love you lots and I know that is not what most people will say but he's going to have a hard time when the baby comes. Give him some love.

DO NOT let him cry it out!! All that teaches is abandonment and conditional love. He's 17 months old for heavens sakes. There is time enough to learn the hard lessons of life!!
